THE GRAND CIRCLE
Part Two : Bryce National Park
Next stop Bryce National Park! So we packed up camp then had breakfast before we drove 2 hours to our next destination. The drive was beautiful and the landscape is like something you’ve see from NASA’s photos of Mars. It is out of this world, amazing!
The town of Bryce is antique. It felt like I was in a time warp dating back to late 1800’s. Where cowboys, horses, outlaws, lawmen and everyone would spins their guns before shooting. Even though we’re in 2018, I felt like I was there. I wish I had taken more photos of the town but here were some that I took of the town. I felt this represented the town well, old and rustic.
We did not camp here because temperatures were below freezing and we are not prepared to freeze our toes off. So we rented a place from AirBnB. I had a bad sleep that night because someone was scared aka Lauren (if you don’t know she’s my partner and my model for my photos). She took three quarter of the bed and was all up in ma grill. The interior reminded her of a new horror series we are obsessed with on Netflix called “The Haunting Of Hill House” which is a fantastic series! Highly recommend!
Woke up the next day tired but excited for our next adventures. We hiked the Peek-A-Boo trail. This hike is listed as a strenuous hike due to the rapid elevation change and the length but I felt like it was harder because it hardly had any shade through out the whole hike and the sun was like annoying paparazzi. I think I had a heat stroke by the end of the hike.
The landscape here was bizarre and I took the opportunity to capture it by playing with the light and shadow. I let the light help me to display what I want my viewer to see. It was definitely challenging but I’m really happy on how the photos turned out. If any of you out there is a professional photographer I would love to get some feedback. Shoot me a comment or an e-mail. It’ll be much appreciated!
With a touch too many sun, we ended the day with a home cooked meal. Curry taco! Weird? Amazing! We got some good old curry powder, a few assorted veggies, coconut milk, taco shell, and BAM! Meal that cost us all less than $5 each. With tummies full of yummy-ness we are ready for the next stop. Capitol Reef!
